The Moral Animal

I finally finished "The Moral Animal, Why We Are The Way We Are: The New Science of Evolutionary Psychology" by Robert Wright. Anne loaned me this book something like 2 years ago and I've been slowly making my way through it. I highly recommend it to anyone as it's really fascinating and makes you think about a lot of things. If you can't make it through the whole book, read the first and last sections (intro and conclusion) and you'll have a pretty good idea what it's about.

Poor Anne though, I've dog eared like 20 pages and the book definitely looks a tad more worn than when it was loaned to me. Sorry!

New Kite Pics

As all 3 of you know, I spend most of my weekends at Mission Bay hoping for wind to kiteboard. A few weekends ago I got out on the water and noticed a local kiteboarder Tom standing on the beach with a really nice camera. So I thought, "what the heck", and I rode over near him to try some jumps. Nothing really worked for me as the wind was light, but I made five or six passes and tried some small jumps each time. I'm VERY surprised these pictures look as good as they do and it's definitely attributable to the camera man and camera and not the subject. I haven't seen close up pictures of me kiteboarding since I first started a few years back when I had no idea what I was doing so these have me really jazzed!

Sure, I have a really funny expression half the time (or all the time) and I'm riding a boat that doesn't want to really leave the water, but who cares, these pics are awesome! Thanks Tom!

Pics are here. Here are some favorites: Jump1 and Jump2

Tom also got some great shots of Dan
